Wartrail Country Club –The 14th edition Salomon Skyrun saw both the men’s and woman’s race records being broken even despite hail, rain, subzero temps and gale force winds.   Salomon International runner, Ryan Sandes won the 100km race in a new record of 12h36. TransGranCanaria 2013

After a 24 hour flight via Amsterdam I finally arrived in Gran Canaria 7 days before the race started. I spent the first few days in Garanon which at +- 1700m above sea level is the halfway point of the race.
